A fire outbreak has gutted a three storey building at Aboabo station in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
The building housed several shops that sells rubber and other food packaging items.
The fire started on Sunday morning burning some of these shops along with the items in them.

Speaking to JoyNews' Nana Yaw Gyimah, the Fire Service said the delay in reaching the Service on time contributed to the escalation of the fire that ravaged the storey building.
Public Relations Officer of the Fire Service in the Ashanti Region, DO3 Desmond Ackah said the victims called in after unsuccessful attempts to salvage their wares from the shops.

Victims of the incident lost thousands of cash in the inferno that ravaged the shops that are mainly warehouse for rubber and assorted goods described as highly flammable.
