Fire last night destroyed the electricity substation at Odorkor in Accra.
The fire caused a total blackout in the area and surrounding suburbs including Awoshie and parts of Dansoman.
According residents in the area all efforts to reach either Fire Serive or ECG officials failed.
Although residents battled for hours to bring the fire under control, they still had to contend with a blackout all night.
