The First Lady, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills will leave Accra Tuesday, June 7, for the United States of America to participate in the World Affairs Council Forum on Global Women Issues.
Mrs. Naadu Mills is billed to deliver a paper at a forum to be held in Connecticut, USA which is a platform for distinguished personalities from across the world to discuss global gender development concerns.
A statement issued by the Office of the First Lady said while at the forum, she will among other things, speak to the issue of how Ghana’s Oil Revenue will benefit women and girls.
“As part of her visit to the USA, Mrs. Naadu Mills will also be at Goodwin College, Hartford to receive an honorary doctorate for her outstanding contribution towards promoting the welfare of women and children in Ghana.”
Mrs Naadu Mills will return home on June 14th 2011.
