A 14-YEAR-old girl shows her horrific scars after a 4ft-long barracuda leapt out of the sea and clamped on to her arm.Koral Wira was sitting on her family's yacht when the fish with razor-sharp teeth "flew across the boat like a bullet".Her mother Dina Parker said yesterday the attack was "like something out of Jaws".Dad Rob had been fishing when the barracuda was attracted by his bait - and flung itself towards Koral. He said: "The fish took my shark bait but then jumped out of the water, right at my daughter."It's the craziest thing that's ever happened in my life."After the barracuda attacked Koral it was briefly on its side."I killed it with a fillet knife by stabbing it in the head - before it killed one of us."Koral needed 51 stitches and had bite marks from her elbow to her wrist after the attack near Venice, Florida.Dina said her daughter's arm had been left "looking like raw hamburger".She added: "It was like something out of Jaws - it was that scary. We'll never go back out there again. It was the most terrifying thing I've ever been through. The whole family are in shock."Barracudas have trap-like jaws that can chop a mature parrotfish in two with a single bite.Marine life expert Donald de Sylva said there had been fewer than 25 barracuda attacks on humans in the last 100 years.Source: The Sun, UK
