Former Attorney General Joe Ghartey has called on the Constitutional Review Commission to consider proposals empowering the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice to investigate and prosecute all corruption cases.
The CRC is considering proposals from Ghanaians around the world to recommend amendments to the 1992 Constitution.
The commission has received over 8,000 so far and there is more expected.
The former AG was speaking to Joy News after a workshop in Aburi, where representatives of various political parties discussed proposals for the amendment to the 1992 Constitution.
Some the proposals the parties are hoping the commission would consider include a cap on the number of justices appointed to the Supreme Court, and limiting the president’s powers to create district assemblies.
