The Paramount chief of the Gbi Traditional Area, Togbega Gabusu VI has expressed shock at the death of the Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel.
According to Togbega Gabusu , Mr. Kamel was a unifier and a selfless person who played a key role in bringing peace to the Gbi Traditional Area during the crisis between the indigenes of Hohoe and the Zongo community earlier this year.
Ford Kamel died on Christmas Day at the Jasikan government hospital after a short illness.
A teary Togbega Gabusu told Joy News the Volta Region will miss him.
The chief concluded his remarks with a sorrowful hymn.
Meanwhile, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) Volta Regional Chairman, Kwesi Aboagye says grooming another person to take up the minister’s position as Member of Parliament for Buem constituency will not be an easy task.
The Chairman of the Regional Minister’s Caucus, Mr Mark Woyongo also described the late Ford Kamel as someone who was committed to his work.
He said the late minister was very concerned about the development of Ghana and consistently tried to learn from other regions ways by which he could fast-track the development process in the Volta Region.
