Germany head coach Joachim Low has revealed his 30-man provisional squad that he will take to the World Cup with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen missing out.
The tournament starts in just over a month and with Brazil announcing their squad yesterday, it is Germany’s time today. The usual suspects of David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Oscar and Neymar were all selected and Low has gone the same way with his Germany squad.
The Germans are bustling with unbelievable numbers of talented players so top stars are likely to miss out on the summer’s competition, but no one expected the likes of Ter Stegen, Mario Gomez or Max Kruse to miss out. Low has gone with an unsurprising number of proven, experienced players in the form of Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer, but made a couple of surprise selections like Leon Goretzka
. Picking the German World Cup squad is probably the hardest job of all 32 managers at this time of year due to the obscene number of brilliant players.
