Ghana play host to Lesotho or Burundi in the opening match of the Brazil 2014 FIFA world cup next year after FIFA revealed details of the fixture list.
Lesotho and Burundi will be involved in a playoff to determine which of the two teams will join Ghana, Zambia and Sudan in the group stage of the qualifiers.
The home game for the Black Stars will be followed by two challenging trips to Lusaka to play Zambia and Khartoum to take on a Sudan side that has recently given Ghana tough games.
Ghana already has plans of improving a quarter final performance at the last FIFA world cup in South Africa but must first negotiate a successful qualifying campaign for Brazil 2014.
Ghana reached the last 16 stage of their maiden FIFA world cup appearance and improved that a step further to the quarter finals at South Africa 2010.
