Ghana internatioanl defender Rashid Sumaila insists Mamelodi Sundowns will press further for victories in the South African Premier League to tighten their trip on the top spot.
The 20-year-old enterprising center-back was a pillar in defence for the Brazilians and was involved in the sequence of play that fetched the match winner at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Sundowns who have a game to spare lead second-placed Kaizer Chief with two points and the former Asante Kotoko and Ebusua Dwarfs powerful defender wants his side to highlight their superiority at the top of the section with more victories.
“It was a great win for us , our minds are on Wednesday. We are going for all the maximum 3 points and I believe in my team mates,” he tweeted.
Sumaila’s impressive consistency has translated into an inspiring international performance as he filled in central defence perfectly for Ghana during the 2014 World Cup qualifying play-offs with regulars Jonathan Mensah and John Boye missing in action with injuries.
