Ghana is participating at the ongoing Vakantiebeurs Travel fair in the Dutch city of Utrecht.
The country’s delegation includes officials of the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts as well as some private sector players. This is coming after a similar participation in the World Travel Market 2015, in Excel, London.
The Vakantiebeurs Holiday Show in Utrecht is the main consumer travel show in the Netherlands which attracted over 146,000 visitors in 2015.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Kojo Bentum Williams, the fair offers Ghana the platform to market its varied tourist products to the European and Dutch market whilst attracting foreign tourism investors into the country.

He added that Ghana also wants to use this opportunity to sustain Dutch interest in Ghana’s tourism and encourage more visitors from Europe to visit Ghana.
The dedicated Trade Day allows industry partners to set up appointments and explore potential business opportunities within the Dutch market.
The trade fair will also afford participants the opportunity to take part in conferences, seminars and workshops on various themes related to the overall objective of the fair. Ghana is positioned at the African Hall, 2BO54 at the fair.
