Ghana received a massive boost on Tuesday when Serbia-based top striker Prince Tagoe joined the Black Stars ahead of Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations clash with Congo in Kumasi.
The Partizan Belgrade attacker arrived in the country on Monday night after steering the Serbian side to the country’s league title.
Tagoe’s presence is a massive boost for coach Goran Stevanovic as striker Asamoah Gyan is out suspended.
Also present at the training was Jonathan Mensah who arrived together with Prince Boateng and Tagoe on Monday night.
Meanwhile, only France-based Andre Dede Ayew is yet to report with the officials insisting he is due to arrive on Wednesday due to certain circumstances in France.
The team is expected to leave for Kumasi on Wednesday morning.
The session was under the technical guidance of head coach Goran Stevanovic, who took time to rehearse his tactics ahead of Friday’s meeting with the Red Devils.
Striker Asamoah Gyan who is unavailable for the clash due to suspension joined his colleagues midway through the session.
Players present at the training session included goalkeepers Richard Kingson, Sammy Adjei and Ernest Sowah, defender Samuel Inkoom, John Paintsil, Daniel Opare, David Addy, John Mensah, Lee Addy and Isaac Vorsah.
The rest are Anthony Annan, Michael Essien, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Kwadwo Asamoah, Derek Asamoah, Emmanuel Clottey, Dominic Adiyiah, Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan.
Ghana beat Congo 3-0 in the first leg fixture in Brazzaville last March.
