Ghana is expected to go silent at exactly 2:15 this afternoon to mark exactly a week after the passing of our late President, John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
Government agencies and district and municipal assemblies around the country have already planned ceremonies and events to mark the one-week celebration in their own way.
A statement from the Information Ministry is urging radio stations and other electronic media to also observe the minute’s silence in a similar manner as Joy FM and other Multimedia stations did at 2:15pm a day after the President’s demise.
Deputy Minister for Information, Okudzeto Ablakwa tells Joy News those who wish, could also offer prayers for the departed leader.
