In other results, Real Madrid beat Auxere 1-0 with a late Angel Di Maria goal while Roma beat FC Cluj 2-1 at home.
Arsenal beat FC Partizan 3-1 away.
Tonight Valencia hosts Manchester United with Inter Milan playing Werder Bremen.
