Ryan Broom opened the scoring for the home side in the sixth minute after being teed up by Danny Mayor.
Wiredu then doubled the lead for Fleetwood 26 minutes later with Phoenix Patterson providing the assist before the latter went on to score the third before the halftime whistle.
Wiredu was substituted in the 69th minute with Xavier Simons coming on to replace him.
The midfielder has featured in six league games this season for Fleetwood and scored twice already, averaging one goal every three games.
