Ghanaian forward Frank Acheampong completed a remarkable 2024/2025 Chinese Super League campaign, finishing as Henan FC’s top scorer with 14 goals in 30 matches.
The 31-year-old’s consistency and attacking prowess marked him as one of the league’s most dynamic performers. Acheampong became the first African player to lead Henan’s scoring charts in a single CSL season.

His goals were crucial in keeping Henan competitive throughout the campaign, earning praise from fans in both China and Ghana. Acheampong’s finishing and movement consistently created opportunities in key moments.
Beyond league action, he played a pivotal role in Henan’s historic return to the Chinese FA Cup, the club’s first appearance in 30 years. His influence helped guide the team to the final, where they fell 3–0 to Beijing Guoan.
