Four welders working on a fuel tank met their untimely death Tuesday afternoon when the tank exploded at Bubuashie Cable and Wireless, in Accra.Several others who got injured were rushed to the hospital.According to Asempa FM’s Kofi Boamah, who chanced on the incident moments after it happened, the welders were said to have finished working on the underground fuel tank and were testing it when it exploded and killed all four instantly. The four were said to have filled the tank to test if there were any leakages. Eye-witnesses suspect the gauge on the tank was faulty so they could not tell when it was filled to capacity. The tank exploded as they kept pumping more air into it, scattering the welders in the air with one landing on a rooftop.“One of them had his head split into two,” Kofi Boamah reported.
