Dr. Gideon Boako, the New Patriotic Party's Parliamentary Candidate for the Tano North Constituency, has donated ten industrial sewing machines to the Yamfo Technical Institute.
The gesture, aimed at supporting technical education, took place on Friday, November 22, at the institute's premises.
Dr. Boako highlighted the importance of equipping students with practical skills that would make them self-reliant and enhance their employability.
He emphasised that vocational and technical education are crucial for the nation's development and pledged his commitment to supporting institutions in the constituency.
Yamfo Technical Institute, located in the heart of Tano North Constituency, has been a significant centre for skill development in the region.
The donation of industrial sewing machines will provide students with modern tools to refine their craft and ensure they are well-prepared for the job market.
The institute's management expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that the machines would be a valuable asset to the fashion and garment-making department.
They also encouraged other stakeholders to follow Dr. Boako’s example and invest in the future of technical education.
