The Managing Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Moses Oduro Boateng has been asked to proceed on leave, Joy News has learnt.
Mr Boateng who served with the GNPC for seven years said he was first asked to step aside by the Energy Minister Dr. Joe Oteng after a meeting between the two a fortnight ago.
Speaking to Joy News on Tuesday, Mr Boateng said he was given 24 hours to hand over to his successor Mr. Boakye Asafo Adjei.
He described as unfortunate the “rush” with which the minister had asked him to hand over.
Mr Boateng touted his achievements at the GNPC, stressing he helped develop world-class workforce to run the corporation.
