Arsenal are expected to complete the transfer of Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina across the coming week, according to reports. Also a fee is said to have been agreed for the stopper.Ospina was strongly linked with a switch to Arsenal over the weekend, with reports in Argentina saying a move was close.
French newspaper Nice Matin says the Ligue 1 club have accepted a £3.2million bid from the Gunners, with the deal set to be done in the next few days.
Ospina, who recently rejected a new contract at Nice, has long been touted for a move to the Emirates. Arsene Wenger desperately needs goalkeeping cover after Lukasz Fabianski secured a move to Swansea and Emiliano Viviano headed back to Palermo following his loan spell with the club. Wojciech Szczesny remains the club’s undisputed No. 1, but needs competition in order to push for his best form.
