Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions have been slapped with a fine of GH¢5000 for misconduct by the Ghana Football Association.
The club was found guilty of making improper social media commentary about match officials, a conduct the GFA's Disciplinary Committee says ''brings the image of the game into disrepute.''
The social media comments in question, were made during the club's 1-0 loss to Dreams F.C.
But the straw that broke the camel's back, was the suggestion at full time, that some unseen hands hand orchestrated to decide the game in favor of Dreams F.C.

Shortly after their tweet, the GFA Prosecutor said Accra Lions had breached ''section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019, following their Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC. It is alleged that the club's social media commentary on the match officials of the said game constitutes misconduct that brings the name of the game into disrepute.''
Beyond the fine, the club has also been warned to be of good behavior and not repeat the conduct that led to this sanction.
