Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) has been adjudged the Manufacturing Company of the year (2016) at the maiden edition of the Ghana Manufacturers Award held in Accra.
The company, a subsidiary of Diageo PLC, was also awarded Best Company in Corporate Social Responsibility for its impactful CSR programmes and the Best Company in Waste Management/Sustainability.
GGBL is the only beverage business listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange and produces a total beverage portfolio including Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, Star Lager, Orijin Bitter and Beer Johnnie Walker Blue, Platinum, Gold, Black and Red Labels, Baileys, Smirnoff Vodka, Tappers Palm Beer, Smirnoff Ice, Malta Guinness, Alvaro, Orijin Zero.

The Ghana Manufacturing Awards is organised by Xodus Communications to bring together players in the manufacturing industry, recognize achievements from local and international companies involved in manufacturing in Ghana and also reward those that have played a defining role in moving the industry.
