The Executive Board of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF) has appointed Charles Osei-Asibey, a media practitioner as its Communications Director.
A statement signed by Ben Nunoo-Mensah, President of GWF, said the appointment forms part of the GWF strategic plans to re-position themselves in the public as well as promote the development of the sport in the country.
The GWF also seeks to tap on the expertise of Osei-Asibey to attract the needed sponsorship from the corporate world in a bid to make the sports the second most active sport in the country by 2014.
Meanwhile, Kwaku Afrifa, has been appointed as the Director of Marketing and Sponsorship, whilst John Kofi Amuzu, takes the position of Technical Director.
