Hearts of Oak put up a rather improved performance in their 1-1 draw to Inter-Allies in their latest pre-season friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians who had not convinced many since the appointment of the Japanese American trainer paraded a team which included four of their new signings.
Defender Richard Akrofi partnered Vincent Atinga in defence while Kennedy Appiah started in a left back role. Mustapha Essuman played alongside
Sarbah Laryea in midfield while Cosmos Dauda paired Togolese Foovi Aguidi.
Inter Allies under former Hearts coach Herbert Addo were also looking for a positive performance after their crushing 3-0 defeat to Wa All Stars last week
The first half ended goalless with both teams entertaining fans with some delectable football.
Hearts took the lead on the hour mark through defender Vincent Atinga who fired past new signing Kwame Baah in post for Inter Allies.
The Tema side however drew level five minutes later through new import Prince Barrie from Sierra Leone.
Hearts will be hoping this draw will spark a renewed hope amongst their fan base as their 1-0 win against Swedru Professionals remains their only pre-season win to date.
