Hearts of Oak lost their unbeaten record in the league on matchday six but they could possibly lose out more fans in the stadium for subsequent matches.
This was after fans of the clubs were left stranded behind the gates during their 3-1 defeat to Wa All Stars.
Majority of the Phobian faithful thronged to the stadium to watch the new look Hearts team in action but to their dismay, there were no more tickets available.
This has left the fans contemplating on whether to return for other home matches of the Phobians but PRO of the club, Kwame Opare Addo, has stated the unfortunate incident was beyond Hearts.
“I don’t think we can blame Hearts of Oak for the incident where most of our fans couldn’t get into the stadia,” he told Joy Sports.
“The issue is that the PLB printed all the tickets for the first four home matches. They had all been printed right from day one.”
“There was not any way we could have changed.”
"We had 16,000 tickets for the first two matches and 20,000 tickets for the Wa All Stars game,” Opare added.
“So once the 20,000 got finished, there was nothing we could do about it.”
“I don’t think anyone who gets this explanation will blame Hearts of Oak. The decision had been taken four weeks ago.”
Hearts of Oak’s next home game is against WAFA a fortnight from now.
