For the second time running plans by SSNIT for an Extra Ordinary General meeting to be held to remove some directors on HFC bank board has been dashed.
This is because a shareholder of HFC bank has again filed an injunction in court last Friday to stop the Extra Ordinary General Meeting seeking to remove some three directors' on the bank's board.
The meeting was expected to come on Tuesday February 17 at the Christ the King hall in Accra.
The original date for EGM was January 20,2015. But it was suspended after two shareholders obtained a court order to challenge the legitimacy of the meeting.
An Accra high court two weeks ago week threw out an application by a shareholder of the bank who was seeking to stop the meeting from coming on .
SSNIT was hoping to nominate three directors,Ebenezer Tetteh Togoe, Paul King Aryene and Victoria Emeafa Hardcastle to be considered as new directors of the bank.
They are expected to take over from the current three directors, which includes Board chairman, Muriel Edusei which SSINT is seeking to remove.
Meanwhile SSNIT has told JOYBUSINESS that they will go ahead with their plan to remove the directors despite all attempts to frustrate them.
