The President of Musiga, Diana Hopeson has called on aspiring musicians to get in touch with the Musicians Union of Ghana to avail themselves of the opportunities available at the Musiga Headquarters.
Diana Hopeson was speaking at the launch of Hitz FM’s Hitz Discovery reality show in Accra last Thursday. The Musiga President commended Hitz FM for the initiative which she described as timely and in the right direction.
The Sales Manager of Hitz FM, Sidney Tehoda said the reality show is one of the many ways in which Hitz FM is giving back to its communities. He noted that the reality show is one of the many initiatives that Hitz FM is introducing for its listeners.
Hitz Discovery is a reality show that will enable youngsters to showcase their talent and the winner will have a contract with Hitz FM to record and promote his or her album.
For the reality show, Accra has been demarcated into five zones with an audition in every zone where three winners are selected. After the auditions, the winners from the five zones will be brought into the zone and listeners will have an opportunity to vote for the final five who will participate in the grand finale on January 8.
The five zones are Achimota and environs, Madina and environs, Accra Central, Dansoman and surrounding areas and Tema and environs.
At the maiden audition at De Temple Nite Club in Achimota, Emmanuel Asante, David Addy and Hagar Adjei qualified for the next round of the show from over thirty contestants who participated in the audition.
Judges for the day were Jamie Adjetey of Joy FM’s Multitrack Show¸ Hammer of Last 2 fame and Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, Programmes Director of Hitz FM.
The shows will be broadcast on Hitz TV on Multi TV on Fridays.
