The MCE for Hohoe Municipality, Daniel Noble Awume, has expressed interest to adopt two wards of the Volta Regional Hospital.
The move is to enable the wards to have the needed external support from the assembly just like it's done at other places.
Mr Awume made the comments when he donated wheelchairs to the Volta Regional Hospital to help improve quality health delivery.
Mr Awume noted that it was necessary to have enough wheelchairs in the hospital to help patients who are unable to walk around to wheels to the respective wards instead of having to wait long hours with the associated difficulties before they are attended to early.
He urged the management and staff to take adequate care of the wheelchairs to prolong their lifespans.
The Nurse Manager for the Volta Regional Hospital, Esther Kporwofe was grateful for the donation noting that it came at the time they needed it the most.
She noted that the donation will help enhance quality health delivery in the Hohoe Municipality.
