In a space of one week, three top executives of The Multimedia Group, the parent company of Joy FM, Adom FM and others, have had their East Legon homes ransacked and burgled.
The home of the Chief Executive Officer was raided by armed masked men midnight Thursday, November 17, 2016.
The armed men held him at gunpoint whilst combing the entire house in search of anything valuable.
They took away electronic gadgets and any other property they could lay hands on. Frantic calls to the police yielded a belated response.
Exactly a week later, on Thursday, November 24, the home of Joy News’ Managing News Editor, Elvis Kwashie, was also raided.
The robbers were caught on CCTV cameras but they were all masked.
They carted away television sets, computers, and other household items.
This is the second time in two years that Mr. Kwashie’s home is being burgled.
A third victim, Mr. Prince Acheampong, who is the Chief Finance Officer at The Multimedia Group, had a car broken into at his home.
The robbers were seen by neighbours who raised alarm, rattling and forcing them to flee.
The attacks on the homes of the three executives bear a startling resemblance, something the managers say they are disturbed by.
The incidents have been reported to the police who say they are investigating.
