HR Focus has launched the seventh edition of its annual HR Focus Conference at the L’AINE Services conference room in Accra.
The HR Focus Conference 2018, which seeks to help provide innovative and globally accepted solutions to issues affecting the world of work is set to be under the theme: Consumerization of HR; Enhancing Employee Experience.
Present at the launch were Dr. Mrs. Ellen Hagan, Chief Executive of L’AINE Services; Nana Serwah Arthur, General Manager of Focus Digital; Ms. Revina Acheampong, Editor-in-Chief of HR Focus Magazine, and some Technical committee members of the HR Focus Conference and Awards.
In a speech, Dr. Mrs. Hagan spoke of the importance of “treating employees as you would treat your customers,” hence the theme for the event. “Treat your employees as you would want them to treat your customers. If you make them feel appreciated, they will make your customers feel appreciated,” she advised.
Nana Serwah Arthur, on her part, gave out the dates and further details of the HR Focus event. She said, “This year’s Conference would take place on the October 4th and 5th, 2018 at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences. This would include the HR Forum for CEOs and HR heads; the career development Session for students, job seekers and young business executives, and the corporate exhibition for both HR and marketing departments.
Ms. Arthur added that the Career Development Session, in its 4th edition, would also include the Business Challenge, which would have University of Professional Studies, University of Ghana Business School, and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology competing in the grand finale.
Ms. Revina Acheampong promised a very insightful and impactful conference, using the opportunity to call on corporate bodies and individuals to sponsor the event to make it a success and even bigger than past conferences.
The HR Focus Conference is an event that brings CEOs, HR practitioners and business executives together to deliberate and find solutions to issues affecting the world of work, while equipping students, young business executives and job seekers with the necessary tools for career advancement and the development of their entrepreneurial potentials.
