President Akuffo Addo has told worshipers at St Andrews Catholic church in Wa that he is interested in providing infrastructure that people can see and not in the business of prophesying unprecedented projects that nobody gets to see.
He cited instances of the Lawra-Nandom road which he promised to fix, and he claims work on that road is currently ongoing.
The president also pointed out to the Bishop of the Wa diocese, Most Reverend Richard Kuuia Bawobr that a dam has been constructed under the one village one dam programme at Tom and plans are afoot to connect the community to the national grid.
He disclosed the project was started by the Kufuor administration and abandoned over a decade ago.
Though President Akufo-Addo did not mention Mahama or his administration it is believed those political jabs are aimed at him and his administration.
''I am confident that the work that my government is doing, on the day of account, December 7, 2020, comes in the people of Ghana will be satisfied that I have not lied to them to get into office,'' he said that to huge applauds from the worshippers.
President Akuffo Addo said with limited resources, the people in the country have seen that his government, is distributing the national resources equitably.
''It cannot be that only the areas that voted for me will be the ones that are going to get development. My duty as president is to make sure that all parts of the country benefit from the work of my government,'' president Addo assured the people.
President Akuffo Addo is on a two-day tour of the Upper West region. He visited Wechiau, capital of the Wa West district where a durbar was held in his honour.
He also visited the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa district and inspected ongoing projects on the new district hospital at Issa. The high point of his visit to the region will be the commissioning of the new Upper West Regional Hospital.
