Ideal Bottling Company Limited has once again demonstrated its commitment towards celebrating positive social media activism and development by supporting the first ever social media awareness get-together dubbed ‘The Awareness Army Party’.
At a short but impressive presentation ceremony in Accra on Tuesday, the company presented 50 cartoons of its flagship product, Cool Natural Mineral water to support the advocacy work of the Army.
The Managing Director of Ideal Bottling Mr. Ekow Blankson, praised the work of the Awareness Army and its members on Facebook in particular.
“Cool Natural Mineral water is excited about the digital agenda strategy – keeping customers connected. It is also a means to get our product closer to Ghanaians and the world through social media. I am deeply touched by what the awareness team on social media is doing and I hope it will go a long way to impact a lot of lives and set the agenda tone for quality business digitally,” he said.
Mr Blankson who doubles as the Managing Director of TV Africa Limited said, the role of the social media cannot be overemphasized as it is rapidly transforming access to information, irrespective of people’s location and economic circumstance.

He said the challenge, however, was sifting through the tons of information to determine what is credible and reliable and encouraged online news sources not to sacrifice accuracy for speed.
The Head of Operations and Public Relations of the Awareness Army, Mr. Emmanuel J.K Arthur said, in the 21st century, social media is a real driver and controls the majority of the world’s populace.
“Certainly, a great number of businesses will have great exposure and visibility. Looking at the market, we found Cool Natural Mineral water refreshing to quench our thirst and cleanse the body after a great meal this Christmas season; Hence our approach”, he said.
Some of the water donated will be extended to orphanages and the less privileged in the society as well.
The renowned social media fraternity commended Ideal Bottling Limited for their massive support towards their first ever get-together affair which is to rekindle the movement on social media activism.
According to Mr. Arthur, the Army also plans to make a donation to an orphanage to promote social inclusion and care during the yuletide.
Formed three (3) years ago, The Awareness Army is one of the most influential social media groups with a strong membership of 5,000 people who come from diverse backgrounds and located in different parts of the globe.
