Aspiring flagbearer of the People's National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, is pushing for the adoption of a Ghanaian language for sustainable national development.
He has promised to make the Twi and Hausa languages Ghana's official national languages, with English as an option if elected President.
Speaking to Nana Jantuah on Nhyira FM's Kruyimunsem show, the former PNC Chairman indicated that language has a direct correlation to development.
According to Mr. Mornah, countries like Japan, China, Korea and Russia have seen massive development as a result of using a national language.
He emphasized that no country in the world can develop without a national language, hence his decision to adopt a national language for Ghana.
Mr. Mornah is currently contesting with the party’s 2020 flagbearer, David Apasera for the flagbearership position.
He will be meeting party delegates in the Ashanti region as part of efforts to win the position as a flagbearer of the party.
