Dear Ghana fans, what is your say on this knotty issue of whether or not Kwesi Appiah is good enough to lead the Black Stars to Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup?
Recently, the powers that be in Ghana football reportedly contemplated hiring a foreign coach in the person of Milovan Rajevac to work as Kwesi Appiah’s Technical Adviser at Brazil 2014.
Though the Ghana FA had earlier publicly denounced that, pledging full support to Appiah all the way, uncertainty still seems to have pervaded the Big Boss' job in the run-in to the world's biggest soccer showpiece this summer. Is Appiah’s job completely safe?
Where could Kwesi Appiah be found wanting? Hasn't he made a success of his current Black Stars head coach tenure so far after qualifying for the for the 2014 World Cup?
Appiah's Black Stars, mixed with just a few unsung talents from the Ghanaian league and overseas based players, in an obvious rebuilding exercise of the national team, placed fourth at AFCON 2013 and showed much promise at the last round of the World qualifiers against Egypt with a 7-3 aggregate win.
Could this same coach indeed be bereft of the technical savvy required of a World Cup bound coach? Or does he lack managerial acumen for handling players off the pitch in the World Cup setting?
