The Black Stars continues to attract all kinds of coaches after its latest vacancy but reports are that Italian Marco Tardelli is in a pole position for the job as a result of his rich curriculum Vitae among the numerous applicants.
Tardelli, 60 years, reportedly was among the first coaches to submit his application to coach the team. He made 81 appearances for the Italian national team, between 1976 and 1986.
The former Juventus defensive midfielder who currently is the coach for championship side Watford and holds a UEFA Pro license coaching certificate and also doubles as assistant coach of Ireland but has also declared his readiness to take up any other role if he does not get the top job in the Black Stars team.
“Tardelli has tendered his application to the GFA for the position, for the Black Stars head coach job.
“ We are looking to hear from them [GFA], we want to help develop Ghana football,” a spokesman for Tardelli was quoted in the media.
