Editor of Kotoko Express, Jerome Otchere has disclosed the team failed to utilize their chances against Berekum Chelsea.
The Porcupine Warriors travelled to the Golden City Park in Berekum to take on Chelsea in the match day 2 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
The Warriors were hoping to break the jinx in Berekum but Chelsea maintained their prefect home record against Kotoko.
After a goalless score-line at the Berekum City Park, Jerome believes they failed to utilize their chances against Chelsea.
“We could have won the match yesterday because we were completely dominant over Chelsea.” he told Asempa FM.
“We failed to utilize our chances against Chelsea but two players to watch this season is Ollenu Ashitey and Emmanuel Gyamfi.
“These players were absolutely fantastic. They disturbed the defenders of Chelsea and I was very happy Emmanuel Gyamfi won the man of the match.
“Ollenu has now understood the philosophy of the club and he is a game changer and I know Hearts of Oak will regret selling him and the coach has said after match day five the club will be in different form.
“I am only praying that we don’t record injuries because with how we have started dominating in the premier league, I can say that we will win the league even though I know it is too early but I believe we can do that.”
Asante Kotoko have 4 points after two matches and will host Bechem United at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
