The father of Chelsea captain John Terry will stand trial in November accused of shouting racists comments during an incident in the City of London on March 22.
Ted Terry, 59, was charged with two racially-aggravated counts earlier this month. London Magistrates' Court was told Terry allegedly yelled "f***ing Paki" and "black c***" during the incident and is also accused of assaulting Amarjit Talafair.
Terry pleaded guilty to the assault charge but his lawyer John Oliver said the basis of the plea was that there was no racially aggravated element to the offence. The Crown did not accept these pleas.
The case was adjourned and the magistrate fixed a two-day trial at the Magistrates Court starting on November 11.Two other men also face trial over the same incident.
