DONE DEAL:RAMIRES OFF TO CHINA

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has moved to China in a surprise £25 million deal.The Brazil international, 28, has joined Super League side Jiangsu Suning after making 251 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 34 goals.

PATO HAILS CHELSEA MOVE AS DREAM COME TRUE

Alexandre Pato says his soon-to-be-completed loan move to Chelsea is “a dream come true”.The forward arrived in London on Wednesday afternoon to finalise his switch after the Blues agreed a deal with Brazilian club Corinthians.Pato will sign a six-month deal with Chelsea, who will pay his wages – believed to be around £31,000 a week – for the duration of the loan spell.

IS CAHILL ON WAY OUT OF CHELSEA?

England centre back Gary Cahill is so frustrated by a lack of first-team football at Chelsea that he wants to leave the club in an attempt to safeguard his international place at the European Championship in the summer.

 

RODGERS: SUAREZ MISSES KOP FANS 

Brendan Rodgers believes Luis Suarez misses Liverpool fans. The 29-year-old, who left Liverpool for Barcelona in July 2014, has already stated if he were ever to return to England, Anfield would be his destination. And former Reds boss Rodgers agrees he has a special bond with the club. “I think he certainly misses the passion of the Liverpool supporters and he loved the competition of the Premier League.""Luis is enjoying it out there at Barcelona, but I think if he did ever come back, there would certainly be only one club he'd want to play for. "He absolutely loved it at Liverpool, the supporters adored him and he gave absolutely everything.”

TEIXEIRA ADMITS FRUSTRATION

Alex Teixeira has admitted his frustration after Shakhtar Dontesk rejected a bid from Liverpool for the Brazilian. The 26-year-old says he wants to join the Reds in the current window and his agent is doing all he can to force the move through."The team received one official offer from Liverpool. It was rejected. I don't know why," Teixeira confirmed to US broadcaster NBC Sports."It was a great offer. It is frustrating. But the manager and the club president decided against it. So now I am just waiting, trying to be patient."Liverpool is a huge club. So many great players have passed through there. It would be an honour to defend the Liverpool shirt."I know my agent is still attempting everything possible to help me get to Liverpool. I've played with [Philippe] Coutinho since we were 10 years old. It would be a lot of fun to play with him again."

 

THAUVIN SET FOR TOON EXIT

It is expected that Newcastle will allow Florian Thauvin to leave the club once the Andros Townsend deal is finalised. His former club Marseille are favourites to land the winger on a loan deal until the end of the season.The 23-year-old only moved to St. James' Park from the French club in the summer after a £12m deal.

HAZARD IS GOING TO COST MADRID

If Real Madrid want Eden Hazard, they are going to have to pay up. The Sun claim that Chelsea will not even consider selling the Frenchman for less than £80 million. The Blues do not want to sell Hazard and are holding out hope that he can find his form from last season, but they aren't entirely against selling him. Roman Abramovich simply wants a return close to the £88m world record price that Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale. The Merengues have made Hazard their top target for the summer, but any deal is dependent on repealing the year-long transfer ban that is going to kick in this summer.

LIVERPOOL KEEN TO LAND MATIP?

Liverpool are leading the chase to land Schalke central defender Joel Matip. Matip, 24, out of contract at the end of the season and has told the Bundesliga club that he wants to depart this summer. Liverpool are needing some cover at the back, and Matip could be the figure to provide it.

CHELSEA KEEN ON VAN PERSIE?

Chelsea could go for Robin van Persie if they do not land Alexandre Pato, says The Express. The Blues are trying to take Pato on loan and are near a deal for the striker, with the Brazilian set to arrive in London for a medical, but van Persie is their back-up plan. The Dutchman hasn't been happy at Fenerbahce and would be thrilled with a Premier League return. With Chelsea desperate for another striker to be a back-up for Diego Costa, Van Persie could be an option.

WATFORD MAKE OFFER FOR SINCLAIR

Watford have tabled an offer for Liverpool starlet Jerome Sinclair.Sinclair, 19, has asked to leave Anfield after failing to agree a new contract which means he is a free agent at the end of the season.Watford are determined to get a deal done in January with Liverpool demanding £3m as they are determined to play hardball.But Watford know they may be able to get him cheaper in the summer or Sinclair could move abroad which would leave Liverpool only receiving a small compensation fee.

WEST HAM ON VERGE OF LANDING EMENIKE

West Ham United are on verge of landing the Fenerbahce forward on loan. Emenike has been on loan at Al Ain in the Emirates.Galatasaray have apparently told the Hammers they want around £7m for forward Burak Yilmaz rather than a loan arrangement.

SPURS SET TO MAKE FINAL PUSH FOR BERAHINO

Spurs are set to table an offer of around £17m to try to land England U21 forward Saido Berahino.Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is apparently keen to land the player despite West Brom rebuffing a £22m bid last summer. Chairman Daniel Levy will try to push a deal through before the window closes on Monday night.

‘GRIEZMANN GOOD ENOUGH FOR BARCA’

Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo feels his old Real Sociedad team-mate B is good enough to play for the Nou Camp giants.Bravo and Griezmann spent several seasons together at Real Sociedad before departing for Barca and Atletico Madrid respectively in the summer of 2014.France international Griezmann has become one of the world’s most-feared forwards since moving to the Vicente Calderon and Bravo believes he has the quality to play for the Spanish and European champions."I was pleasantly surprised by him (Griezmann). I've had him at my house, I advised him, I gave him a clip around the ear when I saw he was straying off course. He's done good, he's grown up quickly. TORRES NOT IN ATELTICO PLANS

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has informed Fernando Torres that he does not form part of his plans for the 2016/17 season.Torres, who is on loan at Atleti from Milan, is out of contract in the summer and has expressed his desire to prolong his stay at his boyhood club.However, the former Liverpool and Chelsea striker held talks with coach Simeone on Monday and the Argentinian told him that he does not intend to secure his services on a permanent basis before the close of the January transfer window.Atleti are subject to a FIFA transfer ban and are unlikely to be able to sign any players, including Torres, in the summer transfer window or during the next January transfer window.The Spanish capital club have lodged an appeal against the transfer ban and there remains a slim possibility that they could prolong Torres' spell at the Vicente Calderon in the summer if he performs well from now until the end of the season.

BARCA GIVE UP ON NOLITO

Barcelona have given up on trying to sign Spain striker Nolito.Celta Vigo hitman Nolito has been Barca boss Luis Enrique’s first-choice target to bolster his attack for several months, but it appears as though the 29-year-old will not be moving to the Camp Nou this month.Barca had agreed personal terms with Nolito, but they were unable to strike a deal with Celta, who rejected several proposals tabled by the Catalan club.

It’s fair to say Tim Howard has had a tricky few months.The American has had a brilliant career in the Premier League, but age looks to be getting the better of him at last.Now, it appears that Howard could be off to MLS, with Colorado Rapids tipped to repatriate him in the summer.

DE GUZMAN SWANSEA DEAL OFF

Reports in Italy suggest that Jonathan de Guzman’s return to Swansea is set to be cancelled.The midfielder is currently with Napoli, having previously enjoyed two fine spells in south Wales.New Swans boss Francesco Guidolin wants De Guzman to come back for a third stint, as a replacement for Jonjo Shelvey.But reports say that after a medical yesterday, the Swans have had second thoughts, and decided against a deal.

When does the transfer window open?

The transfer window opens  on Saturday, January 2, 2016.

Is that the same across Europe?

No, the transfer window in France also opens on January 2 but Premier League clubs will have to wait until at least January 4 to sign players from Italy or Spain. The transfer window in Germany opens on New Year's Day.
Any deals between Premier League clubs and players in Spain will have to be wrapped up 24 hours before the window closes in England - the deadline in Spain is 11pm (GMT) on January 31. The windows in France and Italy close on the same day as in England, with the German transfer window shutting at 5pm on February 2.
