President John Mahama has completed his first four months in office, but his much-publicized 120-day social contract with Ghanaians remains partially fulfilled.
During his campaign in opposition, Mahama laid out 25 specific promises, boldly setting himself a 120-day deadline for full implementation if elected. These pledges cut across critical sectors: nine economic promises, four governance reforms, seven in education and social welfare, three on national security and justice, and one each on environment and tourism, respectively.
So, what is the scorecard for the President’s first 120 days?
According to a detailed assessment by JoyNews Research, Mahama’s administration has achieved a 52% completion rate.
In the breakdown ahead, we present the specifics: which promises have been delivered, which are in progress, and which remain pending. Let’s get into the details.
