15:40 Unity Dance

And what a way to end the KABA one week memorial? Two personalities- Patrick Osei Agyeman, popularly called Songo and the GFA Chairman, Kwasi Nyantakyi- known more for their 'enmity' than friendship smoked a mini-peace pipe Saturday with a dance, even if the dance was awkward. The two are in court, with Nyantakyi seeking a 2 million cedi defamation suit against Songo and the Multimedia Group. Hardly will Songo leave out Mr Nyantakyi during his famous Fire-for-fire show. His criticisms of him are sharp and piercing. The FA boss turned to court in an attempt to shut him up. But the two, for the love of one man, KABA, were spotted on the dance floor wiggling awkardly to a song to end what has been a day of sadness, but of unity and love as well.

14:00 KABA's storm is over

After a heavy downpour which lasted well over 30 minutes, the storm is finally over and the one week observation continues unabated. The crowd of mourners thickens, each with a donation to give or a tear to shed.

The first was to sign a book of condolence and share his tribute to the iconic presenter whom he described as a professional. He wants attention to be shifted slightly from the discussion of political stories to issues of health which would lead to the improvement of health care delivery in the country. He is back again on the occasion of the one week celebration of the late KABA. Unfortunately the ex-president is unable to share his condolences due to the heavy rainstorm.

12:15 Daughters sing to KABA’s glory

Legends in the gospel music industry, the evergreen Daughters of Glorious Jesus have taken over after the brief showers of blessings. Getting such a group to sing on such an occasion tells a story of a life well lived by KABA. Cynthia, Edna and Monica soothe the souls of many with their songs. Dancing has been rare thus far, but few have taken to the floor dancing, when they could easily have been crying.

11:40 Vandals defy rains

Heavens have opened with showers of blessings on KABA's one week. Whilst others run for shelter, the Vandals have taken over singing the day away in spirited fashion. Who else will do this? Only Vandals will.  A befitting one week for a colleague Vandal.

11:30 Evangelist Diana Asamoah

After the Vandals charged the atmosphere with their own set of 'religious' songs, it is now time for the Evangelist Diana Asamoah to cool the atmosphere. She sang from the deepest of hearts, to lift the spirits of many who were down.

10:40 The Vandals are in!

The vandals are here! They need no introduction. Their songs come before them. KABA was a vandal. On their own and in their quiet places they are perfect gentlemen. In a group, they are perfect VANDALS. They came in a group. They sang to the memory of the departed friend, KABA, the quiet VANDAL.

10:25  Vice President Arrives

The Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia arrives for the one week celebration. He had been here early on in the week to show solidarity and respect to the young man he respects so much. 10:00 When competitors become friends

Management of Despite sharing their condolences with the Multimedia Group

Ghana’s radio industry is highly competitive. The Adom Asempa brands which are under the multimedia Group are chasing the same listeners, Peace FM, Okay FM of the Despite Group of companies are chasing, they are chasing the same advertisers and chasing the same stories. But what is competition when an icon has fallen? Management of the Despite Group of Companies is here led by its CEO Osei Kwame Despite. With a handshake and a donation, they commiserate with the family. The EIB Group, led by Kwabena Anokye Adisi popularly called Bola Ray also leads his team to pay their respect to the family of KABA and the Multimedia Group. The EIB group is no strangers at all to the Multimedia Group.

Bola Ray and many of his soldiers were once colleagues with KABA at the Multimedia Group. They are back home. Atinka FM and its management are also here. They share the same street with the Multimedia Group. With them came Kofi Asare Brako, Abaten we call him. He is no stranger at all to the Multimedia.

9:40 Lifting Spirits

Management of Multimedia greeting family members

It is time to greet! Not the pleasantries many would love to share but it is extremely important in a time like this. Greeting is a form of condolence, it may not ease the pain of the bereaved but it comforts them. The Multimedia Group goes ahead to greet the immediate families.

8:30 Dignitaries arrive

Many from far and near have arrived to share in the pain of the close relations and to comfort them. The families of KABA, and those of Valentina are here with a unity of purpose- to give a befitting one week to the departed soul of the once bubbly broadcaster. The Management of Multimedia, led by the CEO Kwasi Twum is present with a bold face but broken in spirit. KABA was more than an employee to him. He was a son, a pillar in his Akan radio. Several others are here. Ibrahim Mahama, brother of ex-president John Mahama, Malik Kweku Baako Jnr, Editor in Chief of the Crusading Guide Newspaper, Kweku Rickets Hagan, former Central Region Minister, Kofi Adams, NDC National Organiser, Nana Ansah Kwao IV, Chief of Edumasa in the Eastern Region.

8:00 Tears begin to flow

Valentina Ofori Afriyie, the wife of the late KABA,  has just arrived, broken but supported on both sides by family members. She is ushered to her seat in tears. She cannot be consoled. Her rock on which she found mortal support has been broken. Who can console her? One after the other, mourners go to her, to offer a temporary support. Her tears is now in broken sobs. Where are you KABA? She must be asking herself.

7:05 For a mental picture for those who are far away from here, a big dais has been mounted just in front of the Fairgreen Ltd on which mourners will share their tributes to the immediate family of the late KABA and the larger Multimedia Group. Just opposite the dais, across the street, which would have served as a car park for workers of the Multimedia Group is now heavy with tents, ready to sit mourners. Just in front of Joy FM, the red building is another set of tents. Under one of those tents is a table on which has been placed Books of condolence in which mourners will pay their respect and memories to the fallen hero. At the extreme end, in front of the Blue Building, which houses the sales and marketing team of Multimedia also has another set of table with books of condolence lined up. At least there will be no queue waiting for mourners who want to write their tribute to the late KABA.

For a week we cried; in our tears we sang songs of tribute to you Kwadwo Asare-Baffuor Acheampong for a life well lived.

Now we have. You were the husband, the father, the son, the brother, the confidante, the friend, the colleague and many other things to many other people.
