Karpowership Ghana as part of its corporate social responsibility, has donated food items to the Dzorwulu Special School ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Items included bags of rice, oil, biscuits, drinks, toiletries were among the items that were donated to the school.
Presenting the items, the Corporate Communications Specialist of Karpowership Ghana, Sandra Amarquaye said the gesture is part of the company's objective to always give back to society. Ms. Amarquaye added that, “Christmas is a season of giving and receiving love, and this is Karpowership's way of offering love and support to the people here. We believe in spreading joy to everyone during the holidays and we aim to achieve that with this donation.” She further stated that Karpowership is committed to always supporting communities and key stakeholders through various activities

Moses Affran, a teacher at the Dzorwulu special school said that, “we are happy you have thought of us during this period. Seeing as there are only a few days left for Christmas, these items are going to help put a lot of smiles on the faces of the children.” He also stated that their job as teachers and caretakers was not an easy one and required a lot of patience in order to teach the kids how to perform basic functions.
The headmaster of the school, Fredrick Tetteh, stated that they were happy that Karpowership recognised the school as well as its students and honored them with such items. He said, “We are happy you have recognised us as an institution and honored us with these items. We also hope this will be the beginning of a wonderful relationship between us.”
Karpowership’s gesture is aimed at ensuring that the students are not left out of the celebrations during this festive season. The company has embarked on several other similar initiatives to support similar communities in Ghana since it started operations because of its strong believe in bettering the lives of Ghanaians.
