The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin-North, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong has said voters have disappointed God by voting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) back into power.
He predicted the masses will suffer greatly under the present government because they have saddened omnipotent God by not renewing the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) mandate to continue its good works.
Speaking on Ash FM, a Kumasi based radio station on Monday morning the MP noted "there is no denying the fact that NPP is a God sent party ordained to redeem the citizenry from its doldrums."
He said because of this the NPP took the trouble to implement several socially friendly policies to alleviate the plight of the downtrodden when it assumed the reigns of government.
Mr. Agyepong catalogued some of these as the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), free maternal health care, capitation grant, Metro Mass Transport (MMT) and National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) among others.
"Though, the NPP is not a pro-social democratic party as the NDC proclaims, the party implemented all these welcoming policies because of its unwavering commitment to God to better the lives of the masses, especially the poor," he contended.
He said had Ghanaians not succumbed to the politics of deceit championed by the NDC and rather kept faith with the NPP, God would have transformed the country to its deserved status.
He stressed the nation will continue to experience hard times until the people, particularly those who voted for the NDC render an unqualified apology to God for disobeying him.
