The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has announced a website for traders registered under the relocation bid to check their status.
This follows weeks of agitation by the traders that they have not been given any ID to indicate they have been registered and are eligible for benefits under the relocation exercise.
A roadmap drawn by then Acting Regional Minister, Eric Opoku directed the setting up of a joint team to gather data on all traders at the Kejetia Terminal to enable a planned relocation of traders.
Traders registered were expected to benefit from new places of trade in new designated markets in Kumasi.
But the traders boycotted the exercise claiming it was not transparent.
They also complained they were not being given any identification after registration to assist in future legitimate claims.
But the assembly went ahead with the registration.
In a statement the KMA is informing all traders, hawkers, shop owners and stakeholders who were registered at the Kejetia Lorry Terminal to verify and confirm their registration at kumasimarket.softmastersgroup.com
The move it says is also to enable them print the pdf file for future use.
The statement said; “The Assembly would therefore like to urge those who went through the registration exercise to verify their registration by typing in their Surname as user name and Mobile Phone Number that was provided during the exercise as password.
