Former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has up to next week Monday to take a decision on a proposal to run as presidential candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Party (NDP).
Though two persons have already picked nomination forms for the flagbearership race, the NDP says it will allow the former first lady to go unopposed if she accepts to lead the party.
Mrs. Rawlings is said to have met officials of the party in Kumasi over the matter but has yet to make public her relationship with the NDP.
Interim general secretary, Dr.Joseph Manboah-Rockson told Joy News the Monday ultimatum has been given because the party cannot afford to waste anymore time.
