Fans of Asante Kotoko have asked management to terminate the contract of their new trainer Maurice Cooreman after Sunday's 1-1 draw against newcomers Bechem Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Kotoko have picked up one point from the last six and that has left the fans worried.
Cooreman had to be whisked away under tight security as fans wanted to vent their spleen.
"We want coach Bashiru Hayford back to help us.The team is not performing like we want and we have to react immediately. The earlier the better," a fuming fan told Ghanasoccernet.com
The 65-year-old took over the club in September last year from Bashiru Hayford and was tasked to steer their Caf Champions League campaign.
The Ghanaian champions needed a late penalty to avoid second straight defeat in a row.
Yaw Alexander had given the travellers an opener in the 58th minute with a bicycle-kick which beat goalie Sanni Mohammed.
Chelsea dominated play but were wasteful upfront and failed to increase the tally.
With two minutes of regulation time left,Kotoko were awarded a penalty-kick by referee Charles Dowuona after a challenge on Stephen Manu by defender Lee Addy inside the box.
Francis Coffie stepped up and converted it beautifully to save their blushes.
