Asante Kotoko have confirmed they will be participating in a mini-tournament as part of their pre-season ahead of the new season.
The Porcupine Warriors have been invited for a three-team tournament in Libya next week.
The three-team competition will involve hosts Ittihad Tripoli, Coton Sports Garoua of Cameroun and Kotoko.
A member of the Kotoko management team, Edmund Ackah, in confirming the news about Kotoko’s participation in the mini-tournament also revealed that paperwork for the team’s travel to have already begun.
“All documentations are ready and the Libyan club has sent us correspondence for ticketing and other travel arrangements to be facilitated,” he told Asempa Fm.
“We are going there with a 27-man delegation and that includes 18 players, technical team and key management members,” he added.
Each club is expected to gets appearance fee before the start of the tournament on Monday with Kotoko is expected to leave Ghana on Saturday.
The mid-season tournament will prepare Kotoko for the upcoming season.
Hearts of Oak recently returned from Libya after playing two matches without scoring a goal and conceding 5.
