Francis Dorpenyoh, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adansi South has expressed concern about the growing animosity, mistrust and misunderstanding between some Members of Parliament (MPs) and District Chief Executives (DCEs).
The DCE said he was worried about the sordid relationship between DCEs and MPS from the same political affiliation.
Mr. Dorpenyoh who was addressing the District Assembly general meeting at New Edubiase said the problem existed in the District, adding that there was little misunderstanding between him and the MP.
He said "There is rumour in the media that the DCE is not in good terms with two MPs in the district. There is no iota of truth in this assertion. There has been a little misunderstanding between Mr. Ernest Yakah, MP for New Edubiase and I but it has been resolved amicably by the Ashanti Regional minister."
The DCE appealed to the people to stop reviving settled misunderstandings between officials in the district and work for unity towards the development of the area.
Mr Dorpenyoh stressed that there was no dispute between him and the MP and that they were dining, drinking and sharing ideas together and that there was no need for them to continue to see each other as enemies.
He said MPs and DCEs should peaceful co-exist for effective collaboration and development and urged the assembly members to work assiduously to bring positive change in the lives of the people.
