The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) in the Central Region, Emmanuel Duku, has called on political leaders to prioritize early childhood education which according to him is a critical foundation for lifelong learning and development.
Duku made these remarks during the inauguration of an ultra-modern nursery classroom block financed by Groupe Nduom and the PPP for the Abeyee community in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem municipality.
Speaking to Joy News at the ceremony, Duku emphasized that a strong national focus on early childhood education would set a solid foundation for Ghana’s future development. “If we are serious about transforming this nation, we need to start with the youngest among us,” he stated passionately. “Early childhood education must be a priority for every political agenda. Our children deserve the resources and opportunities to grow in a supportive environment from the very beginning.”

The edifice, which is a significant addition to the community’s educational infrastructure has modern classrooms, playgrounds, and washrooms providing a conducive teaching and learning environment for children and teachers.
Duku urged politicians from all parties to recognize the importance of investing in early learning programmes and infrastructure, stressing that early education equips children with critical skills for lifelong learning and success.
He urged members of the community to vote for him to become the parliamentary candidate for the KEEA constituency.

“This facility you are seeing here is a testament to the commitment the PPP as a political party has for you even when I am not yet your Member of Parliament. I will leverage the good foundation of Dr Nduom to make Abeyee a community a better one” he said.

The head teacher of ABEYEE expressed gratitude for the new facility, noting how it would address overcrowding and provide young learners with the resources they need to thrive. "This is a wonderful gift to our community, one that gives our children a strong start in their education," she said.
