9:05 am – Wahab Adams, who is a Asante Kotoko centre-back has committed his future to the club as he signs a new contract which will keep him with the Porcupines until at least 2022.
The 26-year old told Kotoko Express App after signing, “It has been a privilege to spend two years at this club and the opportunity to continue my career here is an honour for me,”
“I am committed to continue repaying the Management, technical team, my colleague players and the supporters for the faith they have shown in me and the care that they continue to give me. I will work even harder from now since we have a target to achieve for ourselves and the club.”
9: 15am – Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko tactician, Kjetil Zachariassen, has reportedly flown to Norway without returning the car and house keys given to him by the club during his stint due claims of bonuses owed him. The Kumasi-based club parted ways with the Norwegian trainer after their awful display in the 2019/2020 Africa campaign but he has refused to handover the keys of the club's car and house meant for the head coach of the club. According to Kumasi based radio station Fox Fm, currently the car is parked in Ivory Coast. Zachariassen has flown to Norway along with the car keys and that of the house, all properties of the club.
9:29 am – Assistant coach of the Black Meteors, Michael Osei has entreated GFA to give the local coaches without license 'A' ample time to acquire one. According to him, there are some experienced coaches who do not have the requisite CAF license A but are competent for the job. "The FA should give the local coaches without license 'A' time to acquire their certificate, for example, an experienced coach like Johnson Smith who led Karela Fc to performed better in the league really shows he is competent and needs to be given the opportunity to work on his certificate. "The FA should give them [Coaches without license 'A'] some approved paper (certificates) for the meantime until they complete their license 'A' certificate" He told Kumasi based OTEC FM.
9;46 am – Assistant coach of the Black Stars C.K Akonnor is the latest personality to congratulate Maxwell Konadu after his appointment as Kotoko head coach. His message comes on the back of Konadu signing a 2-year renewal contract to rejoined the 24-time Ghana Premier League champions replacing Norwegian trainer Kjetil Zachariassen. The player could pen a contract with Aduana Stars by the end of the week. He finished as the joint top scorer with Abdul Fatau Safiu in the Normalization Committee Special Competition scoring ten goals.
