Ghana defender John Mensah is reported missing from Olympique Lyon’s pre-season training and has given no excuse of his inability to join the team. He was supposed to join Lyon team for training after the World Cup as he still belongs to the club. “There was no news,” Lyon coach Claude Puel said on Friday at a news conference. “It is expected. But when he returns, he will resume with the second team” The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at English side Sunderland and reiterated his desire to remain at the Stadium of Light. Mensah diffused talks about his fitness level and put up an impressive display at the World Cup where he helped Ghana to reach the quarter-final.
