President John Mahama has urged the Black Stars to play their best game ever as they come up against the elephants of Ivory Coast later today in final of the 2015 Africa Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea.
In a goodwill message on behalf of all Ghanaians to the senior national team, the president said“with determination, discipline, dedication to duty, fortitude and patriotism, you shall emerge victorious."
He also urged all Ghanaians to remember the team in their prayers ahead of the game.
The Black Stars play the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in the final of AFCON 2015 tournament at the Estadio de Bata in Equatorial Guinea.
It is a repeat of the 1992 final except the Black Stars are seeking a revenge for 11- 10 penalty defeat they suffered in the hands of the Elephants.
It was the last time the Elephants had won a trophy and for a golden generation captained by Yaya Toure, they would want to exorcise the curse that has haunted them and prevented them from winning a trophy despite the repertoire of talents they have.
